Honey Hop Kids

Stop That Thief

Stop That Thief

Lyrics

The sun was bright, the day was sweet,
The crew laid out a honey treat.
A basket full of cookies, gold and round,
The best little snack for miles around!

But creeping close with his mask pulled tight,
A sneaky thief crept into sight!
He grabbed the basket, quick as a wink,
And dashed away before they could blink!
Then Hopper bounced up on his feet —

Hop, hop, hop! (Stop that thief!)
Hop, hop, hop! (Stop that thief!)
Over and under and round we go —
Catch that cookie thief, heave-ho!

The thief jumped over the garden wall,
But Hopper bounced and didn't fall!
"Those cookies aren't yours!" brave Hopper cried,
But the sneaky thief just ran to hide!

Hop, hop, hop! (Stop that thief!)
Hop, hop, hop! (Stop that thief!)
Over and under and round we go —
Catch that cookie thief, heave-ho!

The thief crawled under the washing line,
Hopper slid under — "That basket's mine!"
He squeezed under the low fence too,
With Hopper calling, "I'm after you!"

The thief raced round the big oak tree,
"You'll never catch me! Hee-hee-hee!"
But round and round brave Hopper flew,
Getting closer — the thief just knew!

The thief pushed through the bushes thick,
But Hopper was clever, Hopper was quick!
He hopped right through with a mighty bound —
And landed in front with a THUMP on the ground!

The thief tripped over a twig — oh no!
The basket flew up and the cookies… whoa!
They tumbled and scattered all over the place,
And the thief sat down with a sad little face.

"I'm sorry," he whispered. "I know it's wrong…
But I'm hungry — I've had nothing all day long."
Hopper just smiled and said, "Then here, let's see —
There's plenty of cookies for you and me!"

So remember, friends, when you're out to play:
Taking isn't kind — there's a better way!
If someone is hungry, don't turn away —
Just share what you have, and you'll brighten their day!

Hop, hop, hop! (We caught that thief!)
Now everyone's smiling — oh, what relief!
Over and under and round we go —
The kindest little crew in town, you know!

When a sneaky little raccoon steals the crew’s basket of freshly baked cookies, brave Hopper races after him through the garden — hopping over walls, sliding under fences and charging through bushes!

But when Hopper finally catches the cookie thief, he discovers that there is more to the story. This fun children’s song teaches little ones an important lesson about honesty, sharing and helping someone in need.
