Keeper of the Night

Keeper of the Night

Lyrics

When the sun goes down and the stars peek through,
The firefly knows just what to do.
She hums a tune, her lantern spins,
The forest glows — her work begins!
She flits through trees with a golden grin,
“Goodnight, my friends — let dreams begin!”

Twinkle, twinkle, little light,
I’m the keeper of the night.
Tuck my friends in, calm and tight,
Dreams will dance in silver light.
Twinkle, twinkle, stars so bright,
You’re all safe — sleep well tonight.

She finds the owls up high and wise,
And sings them songs of lullabies.
The fox cubs yawn, the badgers snore,
The crickets hum their nighttime score.
She whispers soft through fern and pine,
“It’s sleepy time — the moon will shine.”

Twinkle, twinkle, little light,
I’m the keeper of the night.
Tuck my friends in, calm and tight,
Dreams will dance in silver light.
Twinkle, twinkle, stars so bright,
You’re all safe — sleep well tonight.

The rabbits curl in their burrow deep,
The hedgehogs roll themselves to sleep.
A deer lies down where fireflies gleam,
And drifts away in a meadow dream.
She pats the bear on his drowsy nose,
“Rest now, friend — the forest slows.”

Through silver mist and starlit streams,
She hums the tune of golden dreams.
Her light shines soft, her heart so kind,
She leaves no sleepy soul behind.

Twinkle, twinkle, little light,
I’m the keeper of the night.
Tuck my friends in, calm and tight,
Dreams will dance in silver light.
Twinkle, twinkle, stars so bright,
The firefly whispers — sleep well tonight.

A gentle firefly lights up the forest as she tucks all the animals in for the night. A calm bedtime song filled with soft lullabies, glowing stars, and sweet dreams.
