Five cheeky monkeys bouncing on the bed,
One took a tumble and bumped his head.
Mama phoned the doctor, and this is what she said:
“No more monkeys bouncing on the bed!”
Four cheeky monkeys bouncing up high,
One slipped off with a startled cry.
Mama made a call, and the doctor replied:
“Tell those monkeys not to try!”
Three little monkeys leaping around,
One hit the floor with a thudding sound.
Mama dialed again, and the doctor frowned:
“No more monkeys hitting the ground!”
Two wild monkeys having their fun,
One bounced off—now there’s just one.
Mama got worried, and the doc said, “Hon,
Better stop before there’s none!”
One small monkey dancing alone,
Tumbled down with a little moan.
Mama rang once more, in a tired tone—
“Bedtime now. No more monkeying on your own!”
