Carried them with pure delight

Past the hill and past the stone
That little duck worked all day
Stacked a house along the way

None of the little ducks came back
Mama duck went out to see
Where her little ducks could be
Quack quack, she walked around
Listening for a tapping sound
Quack quack, she heard tap tap
Tiny knocks and little clap
Step by step she followed through
Till she saw what they could do
Five little ducks ran out to say
“Look what we built today!”
Sticks and leaves and mud so fine
A little house all in a line

All five little ducks came back
